cottages) or at our comfortable
Casa Trudel Bed & Breakfast both located just
steps from the most popular beach on the island,
Playa El Agua, Isla
Margarita.
Cruise ship passengers!
Unfortunately we are unable to arrange trips for cruise ship poassengers
due to the distance to the port & the time schedules of most ships. The
only exception would be for groups of 6 or more persons on cruises that
arrive no later than 8 AM & leave no earlier than 6 PM. If you meet
these requirements just write us for more details.

Our boat is a very reliable typical fisherman's
"peņero" 10 meters (33 feet) long
with three 75 HP outboard motors that make it the safest and fastest boat in
it's class.
Scuba Diving & Snorkeling
Your day will start with a
pick-up at your hotel.
You will be taken to the fishing village of "El Tirano" in order to
depart for the Islands of Los Frailes at around 9:15 - 9:30 AM.
The navigation time to Los
Frailes is about 40 minutes and on arrival we will go to a typical fisherman's
rancho (house) where we will prepare for the dives. We provide all equipment -
for snorkelers this will include a mask, snorkel and fins and for scuba divers
all necessary equipment including wetsuit. If you bring your own equipment we will provide weight
belts and air tanks.
After our morning dive we will
return around 1 PM to the ranch where you will be served a lunch.
This also includes beverages.
After a short break we'll go to
the second location for diving or snorkeling.
The return to " El Tirano" will be
around 3:00 - 3:30 PM.
From there you will be returned to your hotel.
It is not unusual to spot
dolphins or whales during the trip
and there are many sea birds on Los Frailes.
COST:
Snorkelers:US$50 per day (all included)
Scuba:US$85 (all included)
US$75 if we provide only air tanks and weights.
There is a US$5 discount per day for 4 days of diving or more.
The PADI Scuba Diver Course is
a 3 day course divided into three parts: Theory, pool and 2 actual open water
dives, leading to the basic certification that will enable you to dive safely under the supervision of a Dive Master anywhere in the world. (Maximum depth 45
feet or 12m for this rating.)
Cost: US$240 - all inclusive
International Open Water Certification
This is an intensive 5 day
course leading to certification which is internationally recognized. The course
includes instruction and at least four open water dives. Top of the line
equipment, text book and plastic dive tables are supplied (also available for
sale). Junior certification is available to students of 12 to 15 years.
Cost: US$350 - all inclusive
Discover Scuba - Resort Course
An introductory course which
will enable you to dive safely and the experience may credit towards higher
certification levels. This is under the direct professional guidance (PADI
Instructor) on our beautiful reefs. Move at your own pace. Course is completed
in one and a half days including instruction and a trip to Los Frailes Islands
for your dive.
Includes transfer to the dive site, lunch, refreshments and verification of
training (credit for future PADI dive programs).
Cost: US$130 - all inclusive
Scuba Tune-Up
For divers who have completed a
certification course but who have not dived in a long time and feel rusty. This
program consists of a review of skills and theory. All equipment, two boat
dives, lunch and refreshments are included.
COST: US$130
There are also specialty
courses available including Drift Diving (US$160), Peak Performance Buoyancy
(US$160), Underwater Naturalist (US$250) and Advanced Open Water Diver (US$350).
